Alan Durant visits SJL

Wow, we have been so lucky today!

Alan Durant, author and poet, came to visit our school and work with several classes; all classes thoroughly enjoyed these workshops and so did Alan too! He was extremely impressed with your enthusiasm and questioning skills.

I really enjoyed his poems in the assembly for Upper School, especially his custard poem!

Our Upper School Stars of the Week! Congratulations, keep up the great work!

Reading Week

Next week at Sir John Lillie Primary School we will be celebrating reading week, with a variety of events!

We be having many authors and poets visiting our school working with classes and completing workshops with upper and lower school!

In addition to this, the very successful book fair will be visiting again for the whole week. This will be open before and after school, where you will be able to purchase some of your favourite books.
