Super Science Week

This week has been Science week at Sir John Lillie and what an amazing week it has been! There has been SO much going on, from visits from Scientists to investigations in classrooms and then finally the Science Challenge!

We wanted to show you some of the amazing entries to the challenge!

Plus, a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make your mode of transport.  Prizes were awarded to 3rd, 2nd and 1st place within each phase of the school. Sue Hayward, our headteacher, was SO impressed by the number and quality of entries she has awarded each class £50 worth of vouchers with classes then choosing what to buy!

Science Week

As you will probably be aware, we are in the throws of Science week, with lots of excitement and practical task happening. The Science Fairies have been busying working, delivering daily challenges to each class. This has been a great opportunity for all of us to develop our thinking skills, questioning why things are happening, whilst also extending and consolidating our vocabulary.

Today, all class were visited by Dr Mark and his amazing workshop! Below are some videos and photographs of his session with years 5 & 6.
