What yr6 has been doing !

Over the past few days year 6d has been learning about debate. We have been doing debate about Should smoking be banned from  public areas? ( Homework), should children use a laptop then writing everything down on their books ? and should animals be inside the zoo ? We are hopefully going to be doing more.

In maths we have been doing division by chunking and it is a much faster way or finding out the answer and it is brilliant.

Quad blogging

Our class, 6D, are quad blogging with three different schools.

Quad blogging requires four selected schools to explore each others blogs and leave comments.

What we have been doing recentley in year6D

In year 6D we have been learning about  balanced arguments. A blanced argument must be in this order 1st introduction,2nd for,3rd for,4th against, 5th against and then the 6th paragraph is the summary.

In maths we have been learning division by chunking. Division by chunking is a longer way to do than the normal way,however, division by chunking is useful for big numbers.

In science we have been learning about micro-organisims,we have been looking at how bread start to become mouldy.So far one bread has become all mouldy and it is green.The other one has a little bit of mould but it is rock hard.The 3rd one has mould on the edges.The 4th one we still have not seen yet.
